Community Cares – Farmers’ Market Nutrition Coupon Program

Luckily for us, farmers’ markets have been deemed an essential service.  As an added bonus during these hard times; Invermere's Agri-park market is a part of the BC Farmers’ Market Association, which means they are part of the Farmers Market Nutrition Coupon Program (FMNCP). The FMNCP is a healthy eating initiative designed to strengthen food security and support local farmers across British Columbia. There have been concerns that COVID-19 can be spread through food. According to the Canadian Food Inspection Agency, “scientists and food safety authorities across the world are closely monitoring the spread of COVID-19.
